Curriculum

Everything thing we do and say at Wivenhoe Preschool forms part of our curriculum. We are committed to preparing each individual child for their future, by nurturing the development of the whole child and making them an integral part of our and the wider community. We are passionate about making a difference to the well-being and education of children in our care, therefore, providing an amazing team of key workers and Early Years Practitioners who draw upon their knowledge and experience to create a unique pre-school.
 

We believe that learning through play is vital and having access to a stimulating and ever growing environment inspires this learning. 
 

Our curriculum is child centred; this means that we take our cues from the interests of the children and follow these in a way which enriches the development and extends the understanding of the children. 
 

We feel it is important to give children the starting blocks and confidence to nurture life skills from their very first day. 
 

This could be from putting their own shoes/coats on to independently seeking out resources to explore the concept of heavy and light. Nurturing the children’s confidence in themselves to explore in their own way. This life skill will benefit them as they grow.
